Why does Senior Life collect information?

During the application process, IP addresses are collected upon the customer approving of the insurance application documents.

  • Verifying the device or devices through which the application process is completed.

IP addresses may be retained for several years. IP addresses collected during the application process will be maintained internally by Senior Life for administrative purposes. It will not be shared with 3rd parties.

Reasons We Can Share Personal Information

Who is providing this notice?

Senior Life means Senior Life Insurance Company.

 

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with state and federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

We also maintain other physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect this information, and we restrict access to those employees and agents for whom access is appropriate.

We will not share your personal data which you have provided to us with third parties for marketing purposes without first obtaining your express consent.

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Apply for insurance and pay premiums
  • File an insurance claim

We also collect your personal information from other companies.

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Senior Life does not share your information.

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Senior Life does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Senior Life does not market jointly.
